The 4th European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD) that takes place in Brussels is the premier event for showcasing the latest technological advancements in the automotive industry. This year’s conference, held on the 3rd and 4th of May 2023, featured an exciting exhibition of cutting-edge demonstrations, and one project, in particular, stood out from the crowd: the ESRIUM Project.
Mr. Matthias Rüther, Director of Digital at JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH, project coordinator at AWARD H2020, represented the project at the ESRIUM booth during the networking event and exhibition. ESRIUM booth was part of the ´Physical Digital Infrastructure (PDI) Group´ alongside the EU projects IN2CCAM, CONDUCTOR HE, PoDIUM Project, 5G-Blueprint Project and 5G-MOBIX at the Automotive Museum.
Our roads have evolved pretty much since the early beginnings. Let’s keep them in good shape for the future, in a smart and green way. Happy to discuss ESRIUM at EUCAD 2023!

EUCAD 2023 attendees had an opportunity to exchange insights on smart and sustainable road infrastructure. Interesting discussions on the topic of current and future state of connected and automated driving, including the impact on business and the regulatory environment. Topics of discussion included how CCAM (Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility) technology can contribute to a more sustainable transport sector, best practices for navigating the “valley of death” between research and uptake, and more.
