project\u00b4s test week kicks off on the 31st of July 2023 and will end on the 4th of August 2023 as part of the Proof of Concept and In-Vehicle Validation work package. <strong>The User Acceptance Evaluation task is currently underway in Upper Austria, led by the consortium partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/school\/fachhochschule-ober%C3%B6sterreich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the University of Applied Science, Upper Austria<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b6171b7 class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-15bf3b4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"15bf3b4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>During the test weeks data is being collected for in-vehicle user acceptance measurement among truck drivers. The primary focus of the assessment lies in evaluating the solution&#8217;s perceived usefulness and how easy it is for users to utilize it effectively. To assess the ESRIUM services (C-ITS messages), <strong>extensive road trials<\/strong> are taking place both at the DigiTrans proving ground in St. Valentin and on public roads. Additionally, <strong>interviews are being conducted with professional truck drivers. <\/strong>The fundamental questions to be answered were whether the C-ITS messages are received and transmitted correctly and how these messages are evaluated by the truck driver. Are the messages considered disruptive or helpful? Do road users have the time to implement the system&#8217;s recommendations? The goal is to incorporate this user feedback into the next development steps of the prototype.<\/p><p>Simultaneously, user acceptance evaluation for traffic management personnel of road operators will be carried out through interviews and user trials of prototype services. <strong>The objective is to incorporate user feedback into the next development steps of the prototype set-up.<\/strong><\/p><p>A significant part of the user acceptance evaluation task is the test week in Austria, specifically in the DigiTrans testing area. This testing (31\/7\/2023 \u2013 04\/08\/2023) week follows the following evaluation approach:<\/p><ul><li>Test Preparation, including C-ITS plug tests<\/li><li>Test Runs with the DigiTrans test truck including eye tracking glasses for the drivers&#8217; trucks (5 days)\u00a0<\/li><li>On-site Test Data Evaluation\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b3008fe elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b3008fe\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><!--StartFragment --><\/p><p class=\"pf0\">In addition to the testing leading partner, the University of Applied Science, Upper Austria, and the use of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/digitrans-gmbh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DigiTrans<\/a>&#8216; vehicle, several other ESRIUM partners play vital roles in this task. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/asfinag\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ASFINAG<\/a> significantly contributes by providing C-ITS Messages on their road network. Additionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/joanneum-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joanneum Research<\/a> actively participates in the EGNSS preparation. The\u00a0#digitaltwin\u00a0of the test track covers Austrian highways and secondary roads starting and ending at the\u00a0DigiTrans GmbH\u00a0Proving Ground in St. Valentin. This assessment may involve comparing car data with sent messages and using qualitative research methods (ideally both).<\/p><p><strong>c.<\/strong> C-ITS Impact for the Truck Driver and Company: Investigating the impact of C-ITS on the truck driver and their company, such as potential benefits for positive compliance leading to reduced tolls for ASFINAG.<\/p><p><strong>d.<\/strong> C-ITS Impact on the Road Surface: Evaluating the effect of C-ITS on the road surface.<\/p><p><strong>e.<\/strong> C-ITS Impact on the Road Operator (Traffic Management Personnel): Measuring user acceptance among road operators through qualitative research with interviews.<\/p><p><strong>f.<\/strong> C-ITS Impact on CO2 Emissions: Studying the potential reduction in CO2 emissions resulting from reduced traffic congestion due to improved information and smooth traffic flow.<\/p><p>The data collected during the test week will be subjected to thorough data analysis and impact calculation. conditions<\/strong> to road users and operators <strong>while predicting further damage<\/strong>.
