The Session was organized by FHO, the project\u00b4s consortium partner and it featured the ESRIUM <span style=\"color: #000000;\">presentation on project\u00b4s use cases<\/span>\u00a0by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/bernd-datler-989b5172\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bernd Datler (CEO ASFINAG Maut Services).<\/a> The event &#8220;Veranstaltungs-Informationen&#8221; served as Austria&#8217;s annual meeting point for professionals in the supply chain and logistics industry. Discussions revolved around the application of future drive technologies and the potential impact of vehicle automation on enhancing efficiency. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from industry experts who shared their experiences and insights on electric, LNG, and hydrogen trucks.<\/p><p>The session also highlighted ongoing research and development projects in Austria, specifically in the area of highly automated road freight transport. Challenges and solutions were discussed, shedding light on the progress made in this field.<\/p><p>Notable presentations included <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gw-world.com\/us\/company\/about-us\/management-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">J\u00fcrgen Bauer, a member of the management board at Gebr\u00fcder Weiss GmbH<\/a>, who discussed automation in freight transport. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/eva-tatschl-unterberger-b03215b\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eva Tatschl-Unterberger from DigiTrans GmbH<\/a> provided insights into the Testregion Digitrans, an initiative focused on autonomous transport. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/armin-humer-609470158\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Armin Humer from DB Schenker<\/a> presented the AWARD project, which explored highly automated freight transport in challenging weather conditions. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/bernd-datler-989b5172\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bernd Datler from ASFINAG<\/a> Maut Service shared information about ESRIUM, an intelligent and connected road infrastructure for highly automated freight transport.<\/p><p>Matthias Neubauer, a professor specializing in logistics information systems and hyperconnected logistics systems at Logistikum, skillfully moderated the session.
